Research profile

Line Marie Bruun Jespersen is an Associated Professor at Department of Communication, Aalborg University, and is a member of RELATE (Research Lab for Art and Technology). Lines primary research interest is within art in public spaces, art and publics and the role of art within various types of spatial contexts, that include the interplay between urban architecture, landscape, publics and artistic interventions. A continued focus point of the research on embodied aesthetic experience in the urban landscape and the creation of socially inclusive public spaces through art and artistic interventions, has led to the most recent research on places for play in public space. 

 

 

Administrative profile

I have been involved in the administration of the BA program in Art and Technology at AAU as a member and head of the study board from 2012-2020 and again from 2024-  and I am engaged in questions regarding art education, both from a pedagogical and academic view point.

Teaching profile

I teach and supervise project groups at BA in Art and Technology in topics such as art history, site analysis, artistic and academic methods and entrepeneuship.
