Research profile

Louise Møller Pedersen researches organizational development, management and changes in public organisations. Including social organizational sustainability understood as sustainable use of personnel resources under the auspices of the cross-institutional research network Social Organizational Sustainability. Louise researches and teaches primarily in organizational development, human resource management, management of the psychosocial working environment with a particular focus on change processes and the role of the middle manager. For a number of years, Louise has been coordinator of courses in human resource management for ordinary students and master's students, as well as coordinator of a course in evaluation theory. Louise also teaches on a number of Aalborg University's master's courses, including Strategic HRM in modern working life on the Master in Public Governance (MPG) and Master in Learning Processes. Louise has published in recognized international and Danish journals as well as books on organizational development, working environment, management and the Danish healthcare system. Louise is the project manager on Positive Psychosocial factors at work, mental health and the quality of the health services before, during and after the relocation to Gødstrup (2018-2024), which aims, among other things, to quantitatively and qualitatively shed light on the interaction between social capital, the employees' mental health and the experience of meaning in work. The project also deals with the role of middle managers during change processes. A project goal is to develop recommendations and tools for development consultants and managers who must facilitate change and relocation processes.
