Research profile
My research focuses on social work with children and families across different contexts, e.g., in statutory social work, social work in the home, in children and families' environments, and in cross-sectoral and -professional contexts where practitioners try to understand and change human and social vulnerabilities and inequalities. The purpose of my research is to contribute to basic research on social work and social problems as well as research for social work practice, children and families, which can contribute to positive change. This also implies a strong interest in policies and conditions for welfare and well-being. Characteristic of research in social work, my research is often interdisciplinary – theoretically, methodologically and empirically – and is developed in continuous dialogue and partnerships with decision-makers, practitioners and the people in vulnerable positions.
