Teaching profile

I am an Teaching Associate Professor at the Social Work Program at Aalborg University. Here, I teach social work. My main area is social work with children, youth, and families, as well as children, youth, and adults with disabilities. I also teach communication between social workers and citizens, a holistic approach in social work, the ICS method, the adult assessment method, and problem-based learning

Besides teaching, I have written a textbook on the social worker's communication in citizen interviews, which was published on May 30, 2025

Administrative profile

I am the coordinator for the course in social work with children, youth, and families in the Social Work Program at Aalborg University.

I am the co-coordinator for the first semester of the Social Work Program aswell.

I am the occupational health and safety representative for the VIP staff at the Department of Sociology and Social Work.

I am a board member of the Danish Association of Social Workers' Disability Awareness Group.

Research profile

My main focus is social work in execution and practice, with the social worker at the center. I am interested in the social worker's communication in citizen interviews, the social worker's work with children, youth, and families, as well as the social worker's work with vulnerable and disabled individuals.
