Research profile
I am a PhD fellow at the Department of Sociology and Social Work and my research project focuses on understanding and explaining the reasons for variations in placement across different geographical areas in Denmark and identifying cross-territorial differences and similarities.
My study emphasizes the importance of distinguishing between different types of places and focuses on the composition of the local neighborhood as a significant factor in understanding social phenomena that occur around the neighborhood. I therefore investigate how children's growth conditions, specifically in out-of-home care, vary with socioeconomics and with different degrees of urbanism.
To investigate this, I will, among other things, use spatial prediction models and Social Explainable AI to develop a model that can identify which factors contribute to variations in child placements in different geographical locations.
Teaching profile
I am a supervisor on the 5th semester Sociology AAU in the courses "Social differentiation and social action in sociological analysis" and "Quantitative methods and statistics"
