Research profile

Sanam A. joined Aalborg University Business School in October 2023 as an assistant professor in marketing and Market Research Processes Group. She received her BSc in Industrial Management and MSc in International Marketing from the University of Tehran, Iran on 2007 and 2009, followed by a Ph.D. from HEC Montreal, Canada in Business Administration with specialization in marketing and consumer behavior.

Prior joining AAU Business School, Sanam has been a senior lecturer and a program leader in Bachelor of Marketing at Coventry University. She is an enthusiast educator and has experience of teaching and directing different marketing modules at both bachelor and master levels in her teaching portfolio. Her research interests are consumer behavior and customer experience management. In particular, she has published in topics of consumer empowerment and consumer power in academic journals such as European Journal of Marketing and Academy of Marketing Science Review.  Also, she has presented her research in internationally recognized conferences such as Association of Marketing Theory and Practice and Global Branding Conference. Currently, she is working on some projects to explore the empowering role of new technologies (e.g., apps, augmented reality and generative AI) on customer expeirnece through quantitative and qualitative studies.
