Personal profile

Research profile

I am currently what you might call a “Schrödinger's PhD student”—simultaneously navigating the world of academia as both as research assistant at the Department of Health, Science and Technology (HST), Aalborg University while finalizing my PhD thesis. My research delves into patient education with a specific focus on adolescents dealing with musculoskeletal conditions. I leverage user-involvement, co-creation, and learning theory to design teaching tools that empower these young patients in their health decision-making, learning, and self-care.

Drawing on a background in Information Science, I integrate design research, qualitative methodologies, and interdisciplinary theories on learning, communication, and psychology. This approach allows me to create user-centric tools that meet the nuanced needs of patients and align with the broader contexts in which they live. At the core of my work is a commitment to fostering more resilient, informed, and self-sufficient individuals capable of mastering their chronic conditions in everyday settings.
