Research profile

I am interested in the ways we use and understand technologies. This includes specific technologies and technological development, as well as how scientific knowledge is utilized in decision-making processes. In recent years, I have focused particularly on digital technologies and AI, their political and public perception, and the communication about these technologies in the public sphere.

Teaching profile

Over the years, I have taught and supervised students in the following programs: the Bachelor’s program in Communication & Digital Media and the Bachelor’s program in IT, as well as the Master’s programs in Communication, Experience Design, and Information Science. I have more than 20 years of experience as a course instructor, module and semester coordinator, project supervisor, and thesis supervisor.

2013–present: Head of Department at the Department of Communication and Psychology.

2010–2013: Head of Studies for the School of Communication Art & Technology.

2008–2010: Head of Studies for Communication and Digital Media.

PhD Supervision

Since 2010, I have successfully supervised three PhD students who have completed their education.
