I work within the field of user-centered innovation as both researcher, teacher, and designer, with a special interest in the intersection between information technology and liberal arts.
My research examines the relationship between different tools for user-centered innovation and the impact it can have on creative decision-making processes about new and emerging technologies. In particular, the visualization format of animation is a special interest of mine. I have developed and examined a multitude of techniques for using varying fidelities of animation and other extended sketching capacities to create shared operative images to support the sketchy and fuzzy front end of innovation projects.
