Research profile

Main research expertise is in synthesis and engineering of thin films and materials on nanoscale; physics and chemistry of surfaces; ion implantation/radiation modification of matter; materials and technologies for renewable energy and green transition; physics of failure and reliability; sensing and detection.

Publications: 140 peer-reviewed papers, a few books and book chapters. h-index of 31 (Google Scholar). Presented over 30 invited talks at international conferences.

Magnetron-based Sputtering Cluster Apparatus for Materials Engineering on Nanoscale, 2012-2015, Aalborg University with donations from Spar Nord and Obel Family Foundations (PI);

Supervised 7 PhD students and 3 PostDocs.

Acted as opponent and chair of assessment committee for 12 PhD defenses.
