Research profile

My main research area is focused on treatment of lung cancer and mesothelioma. My clinical and research goal is to improve treatment tolerability and effectiveness of radiation therapy in lung cancer, in particular reducing radiation-induced side-effects.

As a board member of the Danish Research Center for Lung Cancer and Clinical Cancer Research Center, my main focus is to support and conduct high scientific quality of cancer research.

As a part of the research group at the Department of Oncology, I am commited to contributing to high scientific quality of cancer research within all areas of oncology and, thereby, contribute to basic scientific and clinical research results within clinical oncology and medical physics.

Clinical research is conducted in cooperation with Clinical Research Unit (CRU), Clinical Cancer Research Center (CCRC), Department of Clinical Medicine, the management of Department of Oncology, and other clinical departments at Aalborg University Hospital, as well as national and international networks.
