Description

3rd place best poster award
The work is about the development of a membrane-free sensor for dissolved hydrogen measurement. The sensor was successfully applied in a two-stage digestion process, which makes it easier to flexibilize the microbial digestion process in terms of the application of plant residues. Furthermore, hydrogen from renewable electricity sources can be fed to increase the methane content in biogas. This facilitates the production of biomethane as a substitute for natural gas. The technology can be integrated into both, new and existing biogas plants. The work represents a cooperation together with TU Berlin and Kurt-Schwabe-Institute (both located in Germany).
