Description

How can the transport system in Greater Copenhagen be developed to become more coherent and sustainable in order to promote sustainability and mobility from and within the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T)? That is the direction of the project.

A coherent transport system provides a prerequisite for increased accessibility throughout Greater Copenhagen. Not only to the so-called urban nodes of Copenhagen and Malmö, but also to the secondary and tertiary parts of the region.

The work will focus on how the transport system in Greater Copenhagen can be developed to become more homogeneous and sustainable in order to promote accessibility and mobility to, from and within the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). A system plan with a time horizon 2050 to highlight how the capacity for rail traffic in Greater Copenhagen should be developed.

The activities of the project are divided into three thematic areas, which together will contribute to making the transport system in Greater Copenhagen more coherent:

— Strategic scenarios for rail traffic in Greater Copenhagen.
A coherent public transport system.
— The mobility of the future.
