Project Details

Description

The department collaborates with the Department of Biostatistics at Novo Nordisk A/S in a two-year project in the period 1/8 2001 to 1/8 2003. The aim is to develop new models for use in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) with focus on diabetes. The idea is to use different modelling approaches for the modelling of PK/PD, including state space models, graphical models, Bayesian networks and inverse problems. A second aim with the project is to draw attention towards scientific subjects, especially mathematics/statistics. This is accomplished by using themes from PK/PD in the mathematics education, for example in project work on the treatment of diabetes.
