Project Details
Description
The project concerns the approximation properties of the nodal functions of Loop and Catmull-Clark type subdivision. These functions can be used to approximate, among other things, surfaces for use in computer graphics. The project focuses on both theoretical properties, such as how polynomial reproduction around extraordinary vertices links to approximation rate, and practical means to achieving said approximation rates.
