Project Details

Description

The physical and mental health is influenced by environmental factors such as the indoor quality of the air, lighting and acoustics, as well as the thermal comfort. These factors have shown to affect the nervous, immune and endocrine systems in humans. However, several studies report a need for better understanding of the effects.
This thesis focuses on the built environment in private homes in relation to respiratory infections, and mental health (such as depression) .
