Description
Today, sustainability in construction is a basic term that can be quantified through a number of certifications. The aim of the project is to increase knowledge level and transparancy in the construction industry by providing a comparative overview of relavant building certifications. Ten certifications are therefore investigated and analysed: Active House, BREEAM, DGNB, Green Star, HQE, LEED, Living Building Challenge, Miljöbyggnad, Nordic Ecolabel and WELL
The project is a collaboration between SBi and GXN. The main role of SBi has been to cunduct the analysis of the ten building certifications. The analysis can be used to understand how the three dimensions of sustainable buildings: social, economic and environmental (and subcategories within each) are weighed in the different certifications.
