Project Details

Description

Productivity in the Danish Construction industry is low, and a failure to collaborate effectively in project teams has been seen as a major cause of the productivity issue. The construction industry is, however, an industry characterized by a project-based nature, where different organizations collaborate through activities (the process) to achieve project success (the task). The performed tasks of the project are measured by the success performance drivers: cost, time and quality. In order to improve the performance, it has been suggested that more focus must be placed on understanding how collaboration not only should be seen as an instrumental, managerial strategy for sharing knowledge in order to meet predetermined succes criteria, but also as a an opportunity to create situated learning that remain relevant over time and in different settings.
