Development of Grid Supporting Functionalities for Fast Charging Stations

Project Details

Description

Abstract:
Electric vehicle adoption is proliferating, hence the need for efficient fast-charging stations. Such fast-charging stations have impacts on the grid. Considering the growing converter-based renewable energy resources connected to the grid, this Ph.D. project aims to develop novel control algorithms for fast charging stations to minimize their adverse impact on the grid and provide voltage and frequency support to the grid when needed. The project is part of the MSCA E2Go consortium, which aims to develop cost-effective fast charging stations; more info on https://www.e2go-project.eu/.
