Distribueret virtuel arbejdsplads til styrkelse af kommunikationen inden for byggeindustrien / Distributed Virtual Workspace for Enhancing Communication within the Construction Industry /DIVERCITY)

DIVERCITY er et EU-projekt, der sigter mod at udvikle en distribueret virtuel arbejdsplads for opførelse af konstruktioner, der vil gøre det muligt for byggefirmaer at give bygherren information i form af designoversigter, simulere "what-if" scenarier og opførelse af bygværker, samt kommunikere og koordinere designaktiviter mellem de forskellige teams. I denne softwareramme vil der blive lagt vægt på både synkron og asynkron interaktion. Dette tværfaglige forskningsprojekt vil udvikle innovative teknologier på arbejdspladser i byggeindustrien og evaluere resultaterne fra virkelige projekter. Deltagerne kommer fra England, Frankrig, Italien, Finland og Danmark (AAU og COWI). (P. Christiansson, K. Svidt) DIVERCITY is an EU project aiming towards developing a distributed virtual workspace for the construction industry, which will enable contractors to supply the builder with information in the form of design overviews, simulation of what-if scenarios and construction and to communicate and coordinate design activities between the different teams. Within the frames of this software both synchronous and asynchronous interaction will be emphasized. This interdisciplinary research project will develop innovative technologies on work places in the construction industry and evaluate the results from real-life projects. The project has participants from England, France, Italy, Finland and Denmark (Aalborg University and COWI).
