Description
Abstract:The main target of this PhD project is the development of MPC algorithm. This MPC algorithm will be able to track the DC link voltage and stabilize the voltage when the oscillation occurs due to the mismatching of the impedance. Besides, to prevent the converter from high acoustic noise, harmonic resonances and other problems caused by the variable switching frequency, this MPC algorithm will generate a fixed frequency signal. Based on the existing modeling methods, the accurate models for the converters in system will be established. The fixed switching frequency should be proposed according to the control variables for the converters in system. In this topic, there are also crucial issues such as the selection of control vectors and allocation of weights for each control variable. Finally, a DC microgrid system will be built for performing the tests, which will also act as a conclusion of this PhD project.
