Project Details

Description

The key objectives in the ECoGrif projects are to provide 1) Low cost power electronic converter (PEC) solutions for Power-to-X (PtX) applications suitable for the Indian market for megawatt rating and 2) increased electrolysis efficiency. ECoGrif project aims to demonstrate a grid connected PtX
solution on commercial electrolyser stack validating the 2% hydrogen efficiency increase.
The teams in Denmark and India are working towards reaching the objectives of project by ensuring interdependent activities. The project partners will work towards a goal of providing competitive PEC solutions relevant to the Indian user’s local grid utility regulations. The PEC solution will have the key characteristics generally applicable internationally and will target specifically the necessary improvements in CAPEX (converter cost reductions), efficiency (improvements in conversion rate through both power converter and electrolyser efficiency improvements) and utilization rate
(improvements in robustness/uptime and in overall lifetime).
The project partners will manufacture components and co-design the PEC, which will finally be tested in synergy with other PtX demonstrator projects in Denmark.
