Energy Efficient Self-contained Hydraulic Drive Concept

Project Details

Description

The objective for this project is the development of a standalone hydraulic drive concept characterized by being highly energy efficient, scalable, durable as well as commercially attractive and in-line with industrial trends. This is achieved using speed-variable pumps and simple controllable valves in combination with innovative control software, realized through in-depth theoretical and empirical studies of the dominant physical properties, control design, lifetime tests and extensive empirical knowledge from industrial applications gathered throughout the project period. The goal is a drive concept in-line with industrial trends in terms of electrification and condition monitoring, with an average energy efficiency above 70%.
