Description
Aims and objectives
The research project aims to examine the differential ways people living in Denmark take part and are subject to processes of everyday bordering. We define everyday bordering as a growing technology of control of both diversity and discourses on diversity in which national borders have been subject to de- and re-territorialization, being outsourced to a multiplicity of agents in a multiplicity of locations.
The research project also aims to examine the links between these processes of everyday bordering and the ways they take place in local, national and European levels, and contesting political projects of belonging in contemporary Denmark, ranging from inclusive humanitarian to exclusive autochthonic ones.
