Changing communities. The influence of the Danish Home Mission on identity and the public life in Thy since 1950

    Project Details

    Description

The Danish Home Mission (“Indre Mission”) as a movement has played a significant role in people’s consciousness, for supporters as well as opponents, especially in Western Jutland. However, the religious landscape – and perhaps the very concept of religion – is ever-changing, today more than ever. The aim of the project is to determine how the role of the DHM has changed over the last 60 years, in relation to forming the identity of its own children and youngsters and in relation to the surrounding society.
The project is co-founded by the university and the Museum for Thy and West Hanherred.
