Description
To develop next generation of modular AC Converter-systems with high performances able to forming microgrids with high density of renewable energies and storage systems. The work starts with the concept of wireless power sharing control for paralleling high bandwidth inverters. Then the concept is expanded to a microgrid system which is able to operate in islanded mode. Ideally, there is no mutual communication between converters for power sharing besides the communication for voltage synchronization. And this islanded microgrid will satisfy power grid standard. In some case a low bandwidth communication can also be added to improve voltage and frequency restoration and power sharing performance. Even so the system has robustness against communication failure.
