The goal is to discover children's paths of language development in semantics and pragmatics - the way speakers and hearers use language in communication. The project is one of 8 research teams from 6 countries establishing universal and language-specific milestones with cross-linguistic developmental measures of how 3 to 9-year-old children come to understand and use language. The results are crucial for diagnosins children with language delays.
