Project Details

Description

The objective is to design future wind turbine blades based on sustainable, but mechanically inferior, core materials. The key to success is research and development of novel advanced structural simulation and optimization methods, allowing design exploration not possible using purely engineering intuition, given a strict lead time. The project also aims to provide requirements and guidelines for future research and development of new and improved core materials.
