Project Details

Description

GEORB is software for Precise Orbit Determination (POD) of Low Earth Orbiters (LEOs), gravity field recovery based on satellite gravity missions and orbit design of future space missions. GEORB algorithms have been mostly applied in orbit determination of the Gravity Recovery And Climate Experiment (GRACE), GRACE Follow-On (GRACE-FO) and Gravity Field and Steady-State Ocean Circulation (GOCE) missions.
GEORB has been developed by Thomas since 2007 and it has been released as open-source software in 2022. Details are provided through the following repository website on GitHub.
The latest release of GEORB provides scientific data products of the GRACE-FO mission including precise orbits and calibrated accelerometer data.
In the frame of the ongoing research and development, near future releases will support the determination of gravity field model series based on GRACE-FO mission and time series analysis of orbits.
