The research seeks to provide a pathway for industrial manufacturing companies to move from a linear-based economy to one that builds upon larger degrees of circularity by developing and implementing a take-back system. Additionally, the research is intended to contribute to the scientific landscape by demonstrating coherency between the series of conceptual frameworks and attempts to operationalise principles of circular economy. The adoption of circular economy is hampered by a wide range of uncertain factors, including but not limited to the question of product quality, marketability and change management. Thus, the research aims to demonstrate ways to circumvent such challenges and provide practical perspectives to a largely conceptual field of research.
