The theme of the project is the Internationalisation of Vietnamese Small and Medium-Sized Companies. It is an initial project financed by the Danida ENRECA programme (DKK 300.000), the purpose of which is to investigate the potential of long-term research co-operation and the building of research capacity in Vietnam within the field of International Business. Partners: The International Business Economics Research Group, Department of Business Studies, Aalborg University, Copenhagen Business School, National Economics University, Hanoi, and Foreign Trade University, Hanoi. During the project, three studies will be conducted: Internationalisation of Small and Medium-Sized Vietnamese Companies Alliances between Vietnamese Small and Medium-sized Companies and Foreign Firms Public-Private Co-operation in Internationalisation. A common survey of 50 small and medium-sized companies in Vietnam forms the data basis for the studies. In October 2003, a project proposal for a long-term project (3 years) have been submitted by the same four partners to Danida. It was approved in December 2003 and will run from March 2004 - February 2007.
