Project Details

Description

The Korean-Danish robotics network aims to strengthen collaborations between institutions and robotics ecosystems in both countries. It will focus on identifying research and innovation opportunities in robotics, AI, and automation that can benefit industry and society. The network builds on existing relationships and will prepare consortia for Horizon Europe applications.

Layman's description

Denmark and South Korea are working together to create a robotics network that will help both countries grow their robotics industries. The network will look for ways that robotics, artificial intelligence, and automation can be used to improve manufacturing, healthcare, and care for the elderly. It will also support green initiatives and the life sciences industry in Denmark.

The network is being led by universities in both countries who already have experience working together, such as through a summer school program. They will work with robotics associations and clusters in Denmark and Korea to get companies involved as well.

Key findings

The goal is to create partnerships that can apply for European research funding once South Korea becomes associated with the Horizon Europe program in 2025. This will give Denmark and South Korea an advantage in accessing these funds for joint robotics projects. Overall, the network aims to benefit the entire robotics ecosystems in both nations.
