International positioning of Danish industry (network project)

    Project Details

    Description

At the turn of the century many industrial companies are challenged by market dynamics and emerging new technologies. This will require a re-positioning of many Danish companies and the development of new working modes. The project aims to provide a discussion paper that can help managers in an industrial company to identify future trends and challenges and to position the company in an emerging new context. The project will be carried out as a dialogue between research groups and a panel of industrial managers. During six 11/2 days workshops in the spring of 2002 research groups will in turn present trends and dilemmas with their theme to the panel of managers. They will then be discussed in group and plenary sessions. The results of the workshops will then be projected on to issues related to future production roles, structures and processes. The final industrial report, in the form of a discussion paper, will be disseminated and discussed in the fall and winter of 2002. Project duration: Autumn 2001 - Spring 2003. (John Johansen, Jens O.
