International trends and current practices of songwriting interventions.

An international survey is the focus of this project in order to make a quantitative analysis of the use of songwriting as a clinical intervention. Currently the survey tool has been designed and trialled through a pilot project. The study is in research ethics committee at University of Queensland before the full trials can go ahead. The study follows on from the publication of a major book in 2005: Baker, F & Wigram, T (2005) Songwriting: Method, Techniques &Cklinical Applications for Music Therapy Clinicians, Educators and Students.
