Description

The aim of the project is to increase the application of information technology for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) within civil engineering in order to enhance efficiency and quality and thus make them more competitive within the industry. In the project, the following four elements are in focus:
• IT change model – preparation, application and evaluation of an IT change model in SME’s.
• Resource management – implementation of IT systems for resource management and lean construction.
• Knowledge sharing and document handling – dissemination of systems from a few to many.
• Communication of the project activities and results.

In the companies participating in the project, application of the IT change model will involve preparation, diagnosis, clarification, planning and preparation of implementation as well as implementation and re-evaluation of the change process. Through a knowledge and change model, IT systems for resource management as well as knowledge distribution and document handling will be used in the participating companies for:
• Analysis of barriers and the possibilities for use and application in the company.
• Description of proposals for implementation.
• Anchorage of implemented IT systems.
