In this project we collaborate with 8 Danish companies that operate in different sectors and are of different size. These are Grundfos, Danfoss, Siemens Wind Power, Gabriel, Knowledge Cotton Apparel, Schilder and Brown, Kuvatek and AVV.
The purpose of the project is to examine ways to close resource loops either inside the companies themselves, via systems involving the end-users or via third-party collaboration.
The research approach is explorative, and it focuses on the very different challenges and opportunities of the individual companies.
The output is: First, a best-case compendium presenting solutions from around the world. Second, a description of the process in the participating companies and of the results we have produced. Third, and most importantly, a number of concrete initiatives towards circular business models in the participating companies.
We expect that the case compendium can be of inspiration to other companies that wish to pursue the business opportunities in circular business models. Furthermore, we expect that the hands-on descriptions of the processes in the participating companies can work as practical guides as to how to initiate and drive circular change processes.
