Material re-qualifications and emerging identities – From inherited fabrics to actionable networks in Danish District Heating evolutions

Description

My project looks into the social dimensions of energy transitions, and more specifically, of the Danish District Heating transformations.

Grounded in social science of energy, I investigate how new modes of production and distribution of heat are being implemented by different District Heating utilities, and how these different mechanisms are reconfiguring the roles attributed to both utilities and their customers.

I give an emphasis to the role of time and space to understand the on-going work of reconfiguring the existing DH infrastructures and organisations.
