Megawatt Scalable Versatile Grid Emulation System

Project Details

Description

In recent years renewable energy supply has seen a significant growth in most of the world. The new renewable decentralized grid suppliers, which are often supplied from full scale converters, adds pressure on the grid as these leave it with less inertia and stability which makes controllability complex. The scope of the project includes the development of a grid emulation converter for testing the future decentralized power producers such as wind turbines, solar plants, etc. Led by the standards and grid codes of the future, the grid emulator will be a key element in the test and validation for the future large renewable Multi-Megawatt producers.
