Project Details
Description
Low-grade heat from living bodies represents a source of power which can potentially be applied to operate wearables and body sensors. This project will establish the experimental basis for fabricating a radically new, potentially lightweight, compact, and flexible membrane-based system that converts body heat into power. The device will be built upon the well-known principle of electrochemistry, which describes that the flow of water within charged nanochannels generates streaming potential that can be harvested in form of electric current.
