Project Details
Description
The aim of the Ph.D. project is to investigate the state of the art in methodical approaches to environmentally sustainable architecture, thus discovering the fundamental parameters (i.e. tools and building elements) involved in environmentally sustainable architecture.
Throughout the project the state of the art will be supplemented with qualitative interviews and the results of a sensitivity analysis carried out at the Department of Building Technology and Structural Engineering, in which a number of the parameters involved in passive houses, will be investigated in order to determine which parameters have the greatest impact on the final solution.
This will lead to conclusions about some of the most influential parameters involved in environmentally sustainable architecture as well as about when these parameters should be applied in the designing and building process.
