Muslims in the West and the Rise of the New Populists

Project Details

Description

The objective for this project is to become the premier repository for research, analysis, and survey work on issues at the intersection of Western right-wing populism, Muslim minorities, and Islam—cutting across the United States and nine European countries. This research is intended to inform the general public as well as academics, journalists, and policymakers. Islam and populism have become two of the most urgent and consequential topics of both national and international debates.By looking at how they interact, we can play a central and constructive role in moving the public conversation onto firmer ground, and, in the process, provide a strong foundation for ongoing research.
