OWF System Integration Enhancement Functions

Project Details

Description

With the increasingly integration of inverter-based generation, it is fundamental that these are capable of providing restoration service after a black out. Furthermore, the impact of the increasing amount of power electronic converters on the frequency and voltage stability of the power system cannot be overlooked. This project aims to design the most cost-effective offshore wind farm system that enables reliable black start capability and address the voltage stability challenges at the onshore grid caused by the increased penetration level of voltage source converters.
