Project Details

Description

The research project will address SCC2 of the Smart Cities and Communities challenges posed within Horizon 2020. The project consists of three main elements. One focuses upon planning and decision support systems in the context of Smart City planning. The second focuses upon Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and systematic ex-post monitoring of implemented projects. The third element focuses upon peer-to-peer learning hubs, using cities as living laboratories to conduct empirical validation trials of user acceptability, cost/benefit performance characteristics, environmental performance measures, and social impact. The results of the project will have an important effect on the position of European smart cities worldwide.
