Description
The field of application of this research project includes electrical machine, power electronics and ac drives such as permanent magnet motors and their sensorless control. More particularly the present research project relates to field of control and driving of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and their parameters independent mechanical sensorless control.
The proposed research project will develop a suitable commercially implementable method for rotor position estimation for permanent magnet synchronous motor and this method will utilize conventional space vector pulse width modulator (PWM) to control the motor voltage. This method will not depend upon prior knowledge of PMSM parameters. The outcome of this research project will be useful and applicable for both surface magnet and interior magnet PMSM.
