    Project Details

    Description

The purpose of the project is to conduct a major study of the roles that new digital resources, especially social media, play in the formation of publics. The starting point is a pragmatist understanding of publics, inspired by John Dewey and recent contributions in the field of STS. On this basis, the project inquires how Internet technologies mediate the formation of publics around complex issues, such as the controversy over road pricing in Copenhagen.
