Description

With an international research foundation and personal motivation, the Postdoc builds upon the researcher's experience and interest in sustainable energy planning and the role of islands in the energy transition. It is based on the PhD thesis 'Modelling Renewable Energy Islands' pointing towards the importance of extended research in the field of island energy across borders and seas to draw from similarities and international partnership for the benefit of innovative energy planning and development in the energy transition and the fight against climate change. The research encompasses once more Samsø, Orkney and Madeira, visits Sao Vicente in Cape Verde, supports heating models across Europe, and finally, finds its way back to the North Sea and the innovation in adjacent countries.
