Project Details
Description
Digitalization has facilitated power grid operations. However, cyber and physical attacks follow, leading to blackouts. Most cybersecurity solutions today are limited only to defending the communication layer, e.g. firewall protection and antivirus. If the communication layer security is breached, the control layer can be attacked, that can easily go unnoticed. This creates a big security gap. In this project, we introduce the “Power Sentinel” device, which acts as the ultimate shield for power grids to: (a) protect them, and (b) repair from any cyber threats. Its non-invasive (model-redundant) design and custom installation provides a significant competitive edge in the market.
