Project Details
Description
This project will develop water- and fertilizer-efficient wheat, potato, and forage grass in order to address two major agricultural concerns: 1) Frequent yield loss due to increasing number of drought spells; 2) Recent unsuccessful attempts to decrease nitrogen leaching further. The project will build on discoveries from the first Danish project in this field, RadiMax, and will utilize this unique facility in combination with a new multi-layered artificial intelligence system to achieve the goals. The project will harness breeders with robust varieties for new markets and powerful selection tools for their future breeding efforts.
