Renewable Energy Investment Strategies

Project Details

Description

RE-INVEST aims to design robust, cost-effective investment strategies that will facilitate an efficient transformation towards a 100% renewable energy system in Europe. The project is developing novel methodologies including the two-dimensional interconnectivity approach, which explores synergies by connecting energy infrastructure both across borders and across sectors.
The main objectives, among the others, are:
Creating research-based and cost effective investment strategies for Denmark and Europe that can be used in the planning of energy sector organisations and business development for partners and other stakeholders.
Analyzing possibilities for low-cost energy storage by exploring synergies between, electric, gas and thermal grids.
Supplying recommendations to energy companies for technology-specific research and development to ensure that these technologies are provided in the long term.
