Project Details

Description

The project aims to develop a Robot-Assisted Ultrasound System (RAU) for scanning pregnant women, compatible with most ultrasound products already on the market. The expected impact is significantly reduced sick leave for sonographers by removing the cause of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WRMSD). This is achieved through a novel combination of robotic arms, advanced sensors, and remote controllers with ultra-precise haptic feedback, developed in close collaboration between medical professionals and robotics specialists from both business and research organizations.
